The temperature hit around 60 today. That felt pretty good on the skin considering the cold and snowy weather we have had around here lately.  I am really hoping that means spring is coming in full force soon.

With the warm weather came a great day with many enjoyable things.

To begin – Madison while cleaning was very happy to find her “big black nasty bird” (i.e crow)!

The “Big Black Nasty Bird” got it name last year from me when they would lurk outside our house almost waiting for me to bring out the trash. Then they would caw to their buddies and more would come. It would freak me out. They don’t seem to be afraid of you either if you try to scare them away they just sit and stare. Jason and the girls would always laugh at me. That is when I started calling them the “big black nasty birds”. They are big and scary. That was when Jason told me that crows are birds that we cannot differentiate between however they do remember us and know the difference. Nice i thought ( I will not do anything mean to them!)

Madison had a field trip to a park a while back and that is where she decided to purchase herself a “big black nasty bird”. I laughed so hard. Of all the cute tigers and bears and parrots, etc., she came home with a crow

Today I also was given my first e-book reader to try out. Now I am just borrowing it for a week or so. Jason has had a kindle for a long time. He enjoys it very much. I still read my books in paper and enjoy that. We are now going try out this e-book reader and see what we think. I imagine it will be ok. It is going to be good for next weekend Jason and I and my step-dad Bob are taking a road-trip across the country.  I am hoping to try out the e-book reader!! If anyone has any good reads please comment and let me know.

To celebrate the warm weather we went out this afternoon and had some ice cream.  I think as the weather starts to get warm again we will keep up our little tradition of ice cream after church. Yum! Yum!

Finally with the warm weather I grabbed the girls and said photo time! Make it look good and……
