Red + Yellow = Orange

All of which equals the colors in the fall!
I am only guessing after seeing many people post status and tweets that this weekend was the peak time for our leaves. So with that we decided to jump in the car and take the annual car ride up on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see what we could see. We were not disappointed. Which leads me to believe all the tweets and status updates to be correct:)
So here are some pictures from out trip:
This was our first stop. It is a foot bridge on part of the Appalachian Trail. It is a pretty cool place to stop.
This is the Train Bridge which sits right across from the foot bridge.
And one more picture that includes a view from the foot bridge.

I took a couple pictures of the kids underneath of the train bridge. There are some pretty interesting rock under there!
After this stop Madison took a short nap and I took some shots while driving.
Our next stop was a little pull off named the James River Valley. Here the trees were so yellow.
The next over look was Terrapin Mountain. This is one of my favorite photos. I like all the colors in it.
This was a shot from behind.
This is named Arnold Valley. This was the last place we stopped before we had to get on because the kids were getting tired and had to go to the bathroom.
I am glad we decided to go out and enjoy the weather and the beautiful scenery. For me it is so breathtaking to see the colors of fall. It is a beautiful thing:)
