The Annual Pancake Jamboree
Posted on 06 November 2009

I have attended the Annual Pancake Jamboree since I was little child. It is such a fun childhood memory of mine. My grandpa was part of the Exchange Club so every year he would get us tickets and we would get up bright and early on Friday morning before school to be there at 6am for the opening.
The Exchange Club’s Vision Statement is…
Strong American families and National Exchange Club identity through the prevention of child abuse and Exchange’s Program of Service.
It was also cool because not only did we go to the pancake event every year but I got to see my grandpa in school once a year too in the elementary grades. Once a year the Exchange Club would go around and fingerprint the children for free. It was so much fun!
Today I go to the Pancake Jamboree and enjoy pancakes and remember my awesome grandpa who I loved so much and has now passed on
I take my children and and they enjoy breakfast for dinner now. My dad always goes with us too. This year was the 50th anniversary of the Pancake Jamboree. It was a little different this year because work took my dad down to North Carolina so he was not able to be with me
It was ok though because we still had a good time.
I am sorry some of the pictures are a bit blurry as I had to take them all from my phone. I have learned it is not the best way
Regardless this is my group I took with me this year. Allie brought two of her neighborhood friends and they had a blast!

Here is Madison enjoying a HUGE bite of Pancakes

Matt enjoying his coffee with funny faces. He is always the life of the party!

Jason’s huge stack of pancakes and sausage. Yum! Yum!

And me enjoying my pancakes!

The end result – A good time was had by all and I know that makes my grandpa smile!
