Making Things
Posted on 05 January 2010
The last couple days I have been making things! Something I love to do. I love being creative and I love crafts.
I have become addicted to the carrot and raisin salad that chick fil a sells. Yum! The other night after piggin out on some I decided I wanted to try and make it at home for myself. It went well and tasted marvelous with the barbecue sandwiches we had for dinner last night. However I seem to be the only one in my house with the addiction
I do not own a food processor or anything good for shredding carrots except what you see below. So that is how I shredded 4 cups of carrots. Which in all honesty did not take to long!
Shredding so many carrots turned my hand orange.
I finally made it to the craft store to pick up some flowers. I have been wanting to put together an arrangement for my living room. Now that the holidays are over and stuff is put away I can go back to slooowly decorating.
Finally I decided to pick crocheting back up. Well….. i never really picked it up in the first place. Last year I went out and bought all the supplies and a really good book that was supposed to teach me how to crochet. I mean it looks pretty easy. Somehow though it go lost in all those things I wanted to do but never get around too.
Well yesterday I picked the book up with some yarn and started with the basics!
How’d I do? I guess it may be questionable but I finished a scarf for my 5yo!
Since I did make several mistakes I decided to use some ribbon and stitch it through the scarf. So I guess it being my first that I completed from start to finish.. not to bad.
With that I have started my next piece and am determined to keep on going till I am crocheting all kinds of things.
I will keep you updated on my progress
