Yay! You are right. I am taking Madison to go see Justin Bieber tonight. It was one of her Birthday presents from my mom (her Grammy) and my step-dad, Bob.  Allie and I attended a concert about a year ago for her birthday and now it is Madison’s turn.  This time we had an extra ticket and because I have the best girls in the world when my best friends son showed a small interest in wanting to attend the concert and Allie’s favorite male artist is Joe Jonas, both of my kids decided to give their friend an early Christmas gift. So all are extremely happy. Madison cant wait for tonight. Allie gets to spend tonight with my mom and their best friend has the girls following him around at school

This past weekend my step-mom treated the girls and I along with my two step-sisters and their significant others, and my 1 step-niece to Mickey’s Magic Show.  We traveled up to Charlottesville had a little dinner and arrived at the John Paul Jones Arena and waited for the magic to begin.

Mickey’s Magic was AWESOME! All the Characters were there. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, The princesses, the witches, Alice and the Mad Hatter, The Rabbit, Dancing Ladies, and I am sure I am forgetting some. We also had two human hosts named Brad and Bennie. Now Brad was the good magician. Bennie was sort of still learning. Remember how I said I was a sucker. In the beginning of the show Bennie did a trick where he took two metal rings and magically made them go together. Then he was supposed to get them apart. Since he was new he was having trouble. Here is the part I LOVE. Brad and Mickey encouraged us all to clap every time we saw Bennie try to get them undone but it didn’t work. They said if we were working at doing something and it was not going well wouldn’t it be nice and helpful and make us feel good and want to continue to work at it if we had someone cheering us on.  Yay! for that so you can bet I was clapping every time he failed

My Favorite Illusion was the floating Jasmine. It is hard to see in my picture because I did not use a flash but she is floating. Brad performed this one.

She was floating and next thing we knew Brad was up in the air too! So cool

There were so many neat illusions and it was a GREAT show. We watched things pulled out of a hat. Ladies sawed in half. Cinderellas gown change and so much more. The kids had a fantastic time. Here is a picture of the cast at closing.

Natural Bridge
The immensity is startling…the majesty is striking. 20 stories of solid rock, carved by the fingers of nature—Virginia’s Natural Bridge. Treasured by kings, purchased by patriots, this great stone monument is the looking-glass of history. The Lee Highway, U.S. Route #11, passes over the bridge. The height of the bridge from the stream below to it’s upper surface is 250 feet, which is higher than Niagara Falls by 55 feet. It has a span of 90 feet between the walls, the width averages 100 feet and the arch is approximately 40 feet thick.

Natural Bridge is about a 40 minute drive from where we live and has lots of fun things to do, so on Sunday afternoon Jason, the girls and I, and our friends Matt and Rachel went on a trip!

Our first stop once we arrived was The Pink Cadillac for some lunch.

It was a cute diner with great american food and ice cream!

One of the kids most favorite adventures of the day was the first activity we did – The Corn Maze. It was a 10 acre field and it had 30+ scarecrows with name tags on them. You had to find and write down names. Then you received a prize. This was one of the reasons for our trip up to Natural Bridge. Sunday was the last  day for the corn maze. We ended up finding 34 scarecrows

We split up to cover more ground. So this is everyone copying down each others scarecrow names  I am not sure who was more competitive - kids or adults
