The morning started off with its ups and downs. Allie was up at 6:30am ready to go. She got up, went downstairs where she got dressed, did her hair, and got all her things packed together and ready to go. At 7:00 she was ready to leave. That was when I had to tell her she had another hour before it was time to walk out the door

Madison moved a bit slower this morning which made her a bit more grumpy or “diva-ish” as I like to call it. The next couple of weeks the kindergarten class is doing colors. Each day they are doing a different color. The child is supposed to wear that specific color for the day. Today’s color was brown.  Although we had picked out Madison’s outfit the night before because she was in her mood she was not thrilled at all about having to wear brown this morning.

On the way out the door I wanted to grab some 1st day photos. Allie was all for it. Madison was not I still captured a few.

I got them to school and watched them go in the door. At that point I shut my mind off. Praying they made it to their classrooms and waiting till 3 to pick them up!

3pm – Pick up time

Both girls had fabulous days and that makes my heart happy. They jumped into the car so excited to tell me about their day.

Allie – Loves all her teachers. Did a good job helping Madison to her classroom this morning and finding her own room. Is excited to be doing a time capsule. Made friends with the other new girl in the classroom. Was thrilled to learn she will be dissecting a plant after she learns ALL the plant parts. She had a great day

Madison – Loves her school. Loves that a bee is her mascot. Told me ” she was not living well in her classroom because there were way too many “m’s” and she was always confused as to where she was supposed to be. (I guess a lot of people have names that start with M) She was very excited to learn how to write a correct S. She made a friend. She colored a picture of a brown bear and told me everyone was wearing pink except her. I just laughed. Tomorrow is Red day and we have a cool red outfit for her. She had a great day and is excited to go back tomorrow!

As I breath out I think today was a great start to a good year!

The Disney Stars!!

While on this trip to Disney the girls were able to meet many of their “stars.” The characters we watch on TV every morning.  The princesses we have seen on the movies. We had front row seats and we got autographs and pictures with all. As an adult it was awesome too These people are great! They are trained so well and stay in character and to watch the wonder and amazement in a child’s eyes is beautiful! I loved it.

The first evening down there we dined with princesses at Epcot. Belle was the star of the show and was at the door to take some pictures. As I stated before this is Madison’s FAVORITE princess so she was blown away. Funny story here. My dad had to get his picture with Belle too. While walking away he thanked Cinderella for the picture. Now I am not sure whether he just didn’t know who the princess was or he was joking but she gave him a look and said that ann needed to read him more fairy tales with a smile. (remember this for later in the post)  Throughout dinner the rest of the princesses came by and spoke at the table with the kids and took pictures.

Ariel was so cute. She spoke asking which pond we had swam from.

Sleeping Beauty was awesome. She spoke with Allie and told her she was beautiful and was an awesome princess. She touched the side of her face so gently and was so kind. I  just loved how she interacted with Allie.

Snow White does her best to talk in that little Snow White voice. Madison does not really like that at all

The next breakfast we had was at place called Chef Mickey’s. Here we met the Fab Five.

For another breakfast we went to the Animal Kingdom in the safari and hung out with a couple of the gang!!

The third morning at the Magic Kingdom we had a very special breakfast in Cinderella’s castle with the princesses. (keep in mind we were several days into our Disney trip, different kingdom, different cast members playing parts). With this breakfast the kids got a wishing star and a magic wand. The princesses told a story while eating breakfast and the kids got to make a wish on their wishing stars. very cool!! I got me a wishing star too!! The boys had swords instead of wands

Sleeping beauty came up during the story time and asked Allie what she was wishing for. Allie looked up and pointed at my dad and said “I am wishing that my paw paw would learn the names of all the princess’s and remember them.” Sleeping Beauty put her hands on her hips and smiled, looked at my dad and said “Do you know who I am?” Dad just laughed. and she said “he doesn’t know does he?” It was so funny!

now put wand on wishing star and close your eyes and make your wish. Madison wished so hard. It was adorable. She made two wishes that day and she told me what they were…

This is when Belle came up to say hi. Madison was amazed she was not in her beautiful yellow gown but more dressed down.

This is where is got really cool for me because Belle started by saying that she thought she had seen us once before a few days ago. We kinda said we had been here for a few days now and the first day we had eaten dinner over in Epcot. She immediately got all smiley and said she thought so and started remembering the pen we had brought with us that she used to sign our autograph and dad not remembering her name. It was actually so cool that she out of all the people she sees every day remembered.  Yes, Allie had casts on both her arms which kind of makes us stand out and we were a party of 13 but I think you still have to have some sort of good memory to remember people with as many that come and go through Disney each day. So again I really thought it was neat that we had the same cast member for both Belle’s that we saw and that she remember. The girls felt so special too! Oh the Disney magic

Another breakfast we attended we met Lilo and stitch. Always interesting!

And we can’t forget the breakfast with the Disney playhouse gang! This was a fun breakfast and I and the girls really had fun singing at this one.

Now if this wasn’t enough along the way throughout our day we would run into the “stars”. Sometimes we would stop and wait in line to snap a shot with them and sometimes not. Here are a few that we did get to see…

Lotso from the new Toy Story 3. However at this point I had not seen Toy Story yet so when I finally did I was a little shocked to learn of Lotso’s ways But he was friendly here and the girls liked meeting him.

and finally are the two step sisters and step mom from Cinderella. This was one of my favorite meets because we were walking along heading to a ride in the Magic Kingdom when they walked out just arguing crazy with each other. They kept on noticing no one around them till they found shade under a tree. (their spot) people started to gather and picture taking began. But they were in character the whole time. I know it is such a simple concept but it amazes my mind and I love it

We also got a group picture of all 13 of us at the Luau Dinner. I really needed one to replace what I have on my fridge. I think that one is almost 12 years old

And I am going to close with how awesome all the “stars” were with Allie and her casts. She got so much concern and kindness it was crazy. They all show sadness and gave her kisses when they saw both her wrists were broken. Remember the ones with big heads and masks on don’t talk.  And most of the stars didn’t need to be asked to sign her cast they just went right for it. It was cool. Here is a picture of her casts.

Mickey Mouse signed the black. On the top white cast you can see Leo, and above is Ariel, below Leo is Minnie.  On the bottom white cast you can see JoJo and below is Pluto. A cool thing with Pluto is when he signs things the “cast member” who sees from Pluto’s mouth is signing blindly. Pluto has a huge big nose. his fake eyes are above. So it has to look like he is signing with his fake eyes and not like he is looking from his mouth. So he placed allies arm on his nose and away he signed blindly.  You can also kind of see Donald duck’s signature and Daisy ducks. And those are just a few. I did not get the other side.
