The wonderfulness of flowers:

My roses have bloomed and still smell so fresh and look so Ahhh!

I have many favorite flowers. One being The Bleeding Heart. My nanny that passed away a little over 2 years ago grew these. I think if you just look at them you can understand why I love them…

Real Time Revel System!!!!!

I was just approved for this today by my insurance. This is a great day! The Real Time Revel System looks like this…

I already have the pump. You are looking at the transmitter. This is the new device I am getting. I remind everyone that I am a Type 1 diabetic. I am on an insulin pump. This transmitter sends a blood sugar reading to my insulin pump every 5 minutes. On an average normal day I have to stick my finger 4 to 6 times to get a blood sugar. So 4 to 6 times a day along with a reading every 5 minutes – imagine how wonderful this is. This transmitter although not perfect is great because it is another tool that will help maintain better diabetes control. I am so so excited.

I hope all love the day! Thanks for stopping by and reading

Tomorrow is Thursday which means one more day until my youngest, Madison, gets to go and meet her two teachers for this year. She is entering the 4 year old class at preschool. She has two new teachers. My youngest is the shy clingy one – very very clingy. She did go to preschool last year so she sort of knows what to expect which is making this school year a lot easier. We shall see how Friday’s introduction goes. She will going to school for 3 days a week for about half a day. It should be fun!

Tomato and I have ONE!!

Now let me explain. This summer my mother-in-law went out and purchased two of those everything-you-need-in-one tomato pots. I thought cool. The girls and I planted them. I myself have never really had a green thumb. I recently have been proud of myself because I seem to have improved a little in keeping the plants alive. I think my nanny who passed away 2 years ago is helping me out a little:) Anyway we planted the tomato seeds. I was not sure what we were going to do from there but I went with it. Those poor tomato plants sat in the original small pots for 2 months – they were ready to be re-potted so bad. I cannot believe they survived. I kept on watering them and waited for my husband to buy the things we needed for re-potting.

My grandpa used to have a huge garden when i was growing up. Fresh tomatoes was something we had everything year so looking on that i am thinking this is not impossible. We do not live in a house so I don’t have access to a lot of land so no big garden for us not even a little one – now what? Pots – big pots on the back patio – at least that is what we went with and we also had one of the Topsy turvy contraptions. We finally went out and got the soil and a big huge pot and stakes. My husband helped to re-pot the plants and he came up with a cool tripod device for hanging the Topsy turvy using conduit and a carabiner.

Since my precious plants have been re-potted I have given them water, water , and more water. Lots of sun and love:) Tonight as we were outside watering the plants my husband noticed the first little tomato. I know it is small. I know I started my plants so late in the summer. We learn as we go right. My hope for my plants this year is that they will continue to grow and we will get a few yummy tomatoes to enjoy late in the year. And that next year I will have a better idea of what I am doing and have plenty of tomatoes to share with everybody!!

I am posting a picture of my first little tomato and I will keep the blog updated as my plants hopefully grow with ripe red tomatoes even if only a few:)
